Will Messenger

William G. Messenger (Will) is an expert in technology commercialization, corporate leadership, and business ethics. He began his career at IBM as a systems engineer before earning an MBA from Harvard Business School and working at Goldman Sachs and McKinsey & Company, advising clients on information technology, electronics, and new product introduction. He later served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Advanced Metabolic Systems, a diabetes-therapy company. Returning to academia, Will earned an M.Div. and a D.Min. focused on business ethics and organizational leadership, was ordained in the Episcopal Church, and taught for nearly a decade at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, where he founded the Mockler Center for Faith and Ethics in the Workplace. He has held adjunct and visiting faculty roles at multiple universities and is a co-founder and Editor in Chief of the Theology of Work Project. In private practice, Will advises companies and boards on strategy, governance, organizational development, and ethics across the biotech, information technology, and aviation technology sectors. He served on the Board of ArQule from 2005 through its sale to Merck in 2020 and currently resides in Boston.
