Unlocking aviation value via practitioner challenge

We identify the reality of aviation investment opportunities

Aviation investments fail when new technologies grind up against reality

Aviation investments fail when new technologies and services grind up against aviation's operational, regulatory, and commercial realities. Products don't match customers' pressing needs, don't fit operational systems, run afoul of regulatory authorities, take too long to scale, can't interoperate with existing infrastructure or take far more capital than projected.

Expertise needed to avoid these pitfalls exists, but isn't applied before investment decisions are made.

We challenge investments through our unparalleled practitioner group

The heart of the Aspect Group is our team of practitioner experts: the people who have led airlines, served as regulators, built aviation technology companies, managed operations, and implemented real aviation advances. We select a team with personal experience in the factors that make or break successful attainment of the investment's goals.

With this group — plus on-call practitioner experts in any other areas needed — we pressure-test the investments, strategies, implementation plans, risks, challenges, and assumptions underlying the investment.

Our Aspect Challenge Process collaborates with the investment's leadership team to confront the real-world opportunities, risks, and constraints in the investment. We integrate client-provided information, market intelligence and our practitioners' years of on-the-ground experience. We talk with customers, regulators, technologists, and operators. We identify the critical points where value is created, destroyed, accelerated or delayed.

With this in hand, the investment's management team presents its product/service to our challenge team as they would to a key customer. The team challenges all critical assumptions and assertions, asking hard questions over the course of a 1 to 2 day exercise. You sit in and see for yourself. We evaluate the results and deliver a verbal and written summary of our conclusions and recommendations. The Aspect Challenge Process typically takes between 6 to 10 weeks.

We deliver reduced risk and faster value realization
