Charles Duncan

Charles Duncan is a senior aviation executive and advisor with deep experience across airline strategy, operations, and transactions. He is a founding team member at AltitudeX Aviation Group, a boutique Private Equity firm. Charles has led four airlines as President, including Norse Atlantic in its start-up phase. Charles previously held multiple executive leadership roles at WestJet, including Chief Strategy Officer and President of Encore, where he led major fleet, network, M&A, and transformation initiatives, including WestJet’s $5B sale to Onex. Earlier in his career, he spent seven years at United Airlines and more than a decade at Continental Airlines, leading large-scale operational turnarounds, merger integration, international expansion, and joint venture negotiations. Charles also teaches Operations Strategy in the MBA program at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler School of Business.
